On the 30th of September I rode in and photographed the Cardiff leg of the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride.
The ride is to raise awareness of men’s health issues, from prostate cancer to suicide prevention and started in Australia in 2013. I wrote a little more in depth about this on my other blog
The ride started in Cardiff at the civic centre, rode past the castle and through to a checkpoint at culverhouse cross, from here we then went on to regroup at Barry Island before meeting up and finishing on the promenade at Penarth.
This year, $6,047,438 has been raised by 114,180 riders globally.
The Cardiff ride hosted 355
riders and managed to raise £20759
Last year’s ride saw Cardiff host 281 riders and raised around £10,500
It was such a pleasure to spend my day riding alongside and photographing others who were out to support such an amazing cause.
